Most people aren’t going to go around telling people how much they love to clean their house, but since most people live somewhere and most people don’t like to live in knee-deep grime and clutter, we all have to clean up after ourselves at some point.
Is there something in the cleaning process that you’re grateful for? It could be a cleaning product, a memory that cleaning triggers, a certain kind of music you listen to while you clean, or even just the end result. Or it could be something else.
Or, you could tell us about something else you’re feeling thankful for today.
Talk to us in the comments.

I am so grateful for the end result of cleaning, but I have often said that paying someone for housecleaning is worth every penny spent, much cheaper than mental health therapy. In addition, I love the name of a cleaner, pronounced correctly “Bon Ami”.
I am thankful for Method cleaning products. They sort of make me WANT to clean. Weird!
I agree with Patricia.. I think money spent on an every-other-week cleaning lady has saved my sanity. And, on the off weeks, it makes me not hate cleaning myself.
I am thankful for vacuum tracks. I know that’s OCD and weird, but I really do love a freshly vacuumed room with no foot prints (“Get out of the living room! I just vacuumed!”).
I’ve always really liked the smell of dryer sheets.
Though I tolerate the process most days, it really is the end product that I am grateful for. I also appreciate it when my toddler lets me clean without screaching to take over the vacuum or duster so that I can just get it over with!
I’m thankful for the magical cleaning power of baking soda.
I am grateful for the rare days when I have the house all to myself. I can just crank up my music and clean away.
I’m thankful for Method cleaning products. The way they smell make me actually look forward to cleaning. Also, I’m thankful for the dj GirlTalk, because his music makes me feel like some sort of music video star while I clean.
I just admitted that.
I think I’ve already listed this on another Think-thanks, but I kind of like handwashing dishes with Biokleen grapefruit-scented detergent. Is that pathetic or awesome that I’ve been grateful for the same cleaning product twice?
I love my new mop with a sprayer on the handle. It works great, no more buckets. And I can just replace the mop heads with my own microfiber towels… super fast, super easy.
im thankful for the end result
I’m thankful for Bon Ami too, Patricia. And Mrs. Meyer’s “basil” scented cleaning stuff. I’m also thankful for the Fly Lady advice to “swish and swipe” your bathroom each day. I’m also thankful that I’ve not yet had to test her adage that “You’re always grateful for a clean toilet when you have to puke”.
